Nico von Niehl is the most adorable 12 week old Shepherd mix puppy.

Hi!  My name is Nico, and I love ALL. THE. THINGS!  I'm about 3 months old, and came to my foster home already potty trained.  I sit politely for treats, respond well to my name, and have been practicing down and shake.  Even though treats are a good motivator, I am happy whenever you tell me I'm a good boy.  My first night here, I showed my foster family how brave I am when I watched the vacuum cleaner without being scared.  Aren't you proud of me?  They tell me all the time that I'm an easy, mellow guy once I've had a good play session.  They sound a little surprised, like it's not normal!  I tell everyone how thrilled I am to see them with my helicopter tail and big smile.  Just show me which toys are for me to chew on or play with, and I leave the other stuff alone.  (I am still a bit mouthy when I get excited, so young children might not be ideal for me just yet) I can't wait until I get all my shots, because the whole world looks like a fun adventure to me.  When it's time to chill, give me belly rubs and I'll be your best buddy.  I sleep through most of the night in an enclosure, but also like to curl up with my people at night, and I take long naps on the couch.  My foster siblings have taught me a lot.  We play tug-o-war and chase, and it's SO MUCH FUN!  If you throw the ball for me, I will run to get it.  Do you think I might be part retriever?  I hope to have at least one other playful dog in my furever family.  I'll be great company for them and for you.  When do you want to meet me?
